Vietnam updates draft existing chemicals inventory
More than 1,500 substances added
28 March 2017 / New substances, Substance notification & inventories, Vietnam
Vietnam's Ministry of Industry and Trade has published an updated draft of its existing chemicals inventory.
The latest version contains 4,927 substances, which is an increase from the 3,300 listed in the draft inventory, published in Sept 2016.
Once issued, substances not listed on the inventory will be considered new chemicals. An industry source told CW AsiaHub that these may need to be registered, before they can be used or enter the market.
Industry can continue submitting comments to the chemical department or nominate more substances to the inventory.
