Brazil's National Chemical Safety Commission (Conasq) has nudged plans for an industrial chemicals regulation a little closer to completion.

 

The Commission discussed the text of the proposed law at a meeting on 22 and 23 February. It also evaluated, but didn't finalise, articles dealing with a national chemicals registry and risk assessment.

 

A special meeting called for April will:

  • review the February changes;
  • finalise the risk assessment articles; and
  • discuss the articles governing risk management.
