Turkey has published new legislation aligning rules on food contact materials with those of the European Union.
Published in the Official Gazette on 5 April, the country's new FCM Regulation replaces the previous one dated from 2011.
It sets a deadline of the end of 2018 to conform, with some exceptions for which the deadline is end of 2019.
The 2011 regulation must be observed until the deadlines, says the Ministry of Food, Agriculture and Livestock.
